Big Wood Guitar wasn’t built in a factory. It was built by someone who cared about how a guitar feels in your hands.

Sam Wood, a lifelong Idaho native, started building guitars because he wanted something better. With a background in precision auto body paint and a deep respect for craftsmanship, he brought that same level of detail into every instrument he touched.

What began as a personal pursuit turned into SW Custom Guitars — hand-built instruments crafted in Star, Idaho.

Sam approaches each guitar the same way he approached custom paintwork — no shortcuts, no rushed finishes, no compromises. The result is an instrument that looks right, feels right, and sounds right.

Whether it’s a full custom instrument, refinishing work, or precision setup, the goal is the same: Build something worth playing for years.
